The 30-year-old Zwane has been in great form for his club alongside experienced teammate Andile Jali but both were omitted from the squad for the international friendlies on Thursday and Tuesday against Guinea and France respectively.

When asked by media if he was upset about not being included in the Bafana squad, Themba said he had no issue and respected the coach’s decision.

“Not at all,” Zwane said. “I am a professional player, and what I can say is that I respect the coach’s decision.

“I have to respect the coach’s decisions. I support the guys all the way.

“I don’t have anything against the coach, and as I said, I respect his decision and am supporting the guys.

“Obviously as a football player, I will keep pushing in the hopes of being selected, and if not, I will still keep pushing.

“There are things that I still need to achieve personally and with the team. I have to push and try to improve in every game I play,” he added.
