Speaking at a press conference, Bafana Bafana captain Percy Tau called for the support of South Africans.

“We want to win, and we also want to go to the world cup. I think everyone plays a role in helping us achieve that. We will need all the support that we can get, we just want everyone to be part of this.” said Tau.

Tau said they will make sure they do their best in the World Cup Qualifiers, to ensure that South Africans are happy.

Bafana are one of the highly-criticized national teams in the continent, and this can, at times affect the players.

Coach Hugo Broos said it is about time the team makes it to the World Cup again and he is hopeful that they will.

“This is a very important camp and the fact that we have two games means that we have to be careful and have a good start, and that we don’t run behind from the beginning. It will not be easy, playing outside in Africa is never easy”.

He added that both Benin and Rwanda have good qualities respectively, so Bafana Bafana has to be careful.

Bafana Bafana will be going against Benin on Saturday at Moses Mabhida Stadium, in Durban and they will be travelling to Rwanda next Tuesday.
