Friday 24 May

Girona 1/4 | Draw 54/10 | Granada 8/1 (21:00)

Girona will be looking to finish the season strong when they take on the already-relegated Granada. One-way traffic is the only way this game can go. The visitors have no chance of winning. The last meeting between these two ended with a 4-2 hammering of Granada. There is no value in betting for a straight win, bet on the home side to win and over 3.5 goals. Girona to win.

Saturday 25 May

Osasuna 16/10| Draw 49/20 | Villarreal 31/20 (14:00)

Osasuna will be looking to build from a resounding 4-1 win over a formidable Atletico Madrid and a chance to finish in the top half of the log. They have been enjoying a good run of form which has seen them avoid defeats in their last three matches.

Villarreal on the other hand, managed to hold the champions Real Madrid to a 4-4 draw. They are the stronger side in this clash and are expected to spoil the home side’s closing match at their home. Back Villarreal to win.

Real Sociedad 27/20| Draw 9/4 | Atl. Madrid 39/20 (16:15)

Atletico will be looking to bounce back from a 4-1 hammering which broke their four-match winning streak. They face a formidable Sociedad side which has been impressive this season and qualified for the UEFA Europa Cup.

Imanol Alguacil Barrentxea’s side looks to finish the season on a high note, they have won their last two matches without conceding goals which has put them in the sixth position on the log with 60 points. Draw and BTTS.

Almeria11/10| Draw 5/2 | Cadiz CF 9/4 (18:30)

Bottom of the log Almeria will be facing another relegated team, Cadiz in a match where both teams will be aiming to bow out of the top tier with positive results. I see this match ending in a draw.

Rayo Vallecano 33/10 | Draw 22/10 | Ath. Bilbao 16/10 (18:30)

Rayo will be gunning for maximum points to stand a chance of finishing in the 14th position. Their mediocre performance was rewarded with a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Barcelona. Their chance at redemption is not looking great seeing that they face a stronger side which had suffered only eight losses this season. Bilbao to win.

 Real Madrid 7/20 | Draw 44/10 | Real Betis 6/1 (21:00)

Madrid has been scoring for fun as of late, they have netted 13 goals in their past three matches, and this is expected to be another clash that will be blessed with goals. They failed to secure a win when they were held to a 4-4 draw by Villarreal.

Betis will be looking to spoil Madrid’s title celebrations in a bid to avoid a second straight loss. They are currently seventh on the log with 56 points. Beating Madrid is easier said than done, they will need to pull out all the stops to stand a chance of attaining a victory.

Sunday May 26

Getafe 5/4| Draw 22/10 | Mallorca 43/20 (14:00)

Sunday’s round of fixtures will be opened by Getafe who will welcome Mallorca to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez Stadium. The home side has suffered a dip in form which has seen their losing run extend to four matches and drop to the 12th spot on the log. The last match between the two ended in a goalless draw.

Mallorca will be looking to finish the season with a four-match unbeaten run. They are a place above the relegation zone and a positive finish will be vital for them as they aim to regroup and prepare for a positive start next season. I give this match to Mallorca given their good form as of late.

 Celta Vigo 9/10 | Draw 51/20 | Valencia 29/10 (16:15)

Celta will be looking to add to the woes of Valencia who looks to be finishing the season on a bad note having gone six matches without recording a single victory, five of those matches ended in losses while the other one ended in a tie.

Os Celestes’ good form makes them favourites to win this which has seen them collecting some much-needed points. They need to tighten things at the back having conceded 55 goals and scored 44. Manager Claudio Giraldez will need to strengthen his defence when making off-season signings. Victory for Celta.

Las Palmas 27/20 | Draw 9/4 | Alaves 39/20

Following a losing run which stretched to over eight matches, Las Palmas looks to be turning the tide having managed to avoid defeats in their past two matches where they played draws against Real Betis and Cadiz. They will be looking to avoid another defeat which may put them to 19 losses this season. Their lacklustre performance has seen them spending much of the season situated in the bottom part of the log standings.

Alaves are expected to put out a fight to collect maximum points to retain their spot and finish in the top half of the log. They are separated by a point with Osasuna who are in the 11th position.

Sevilla 5/2| Draw 11/4 | Barcelona 19/20 (19:00)

Sevilla will close off their 2023/2024 campaign by hosting Barcelona. They are coming to this match at the back of a 2-0 loss against the Athletic Club which stretched their losing streak to three matches. They will need to draw inspiration from Girona who defeated Barcelona 4-2, however, it will not be an easy task as Barca will also be looking to avoid closing the season with a loss.

The Catalans missed out on this year’s La Liga trophy by a wide gap of points between them and Real Madrid. They will be looking to finish the season with a victory. The odds are in their favour as well as history which shows that they have won the last three clashes between them. Comfortable win for Barcelona.
