Italian Football: Serie A – Gameweek 28

Inter Milan are running their own race in the race to this year’s Serie A title. They find themselves nine points clear of their nearest rival’s AC Milan and will be looking to pull even further clear when they face Sassuolo this weekend. Their arch-rivals AC Milan will be hoping that the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic will give them the push they need to get back winning ways. Let’s get straight to the action!

Friday 19 March

Parma  13/10
Draw 21/10

Genoa 22/10 (21:45)

Parma ended their winless run in their last encounter by defeating Roma 2-0. They face a Genoa side who are winless in their last six. The home side come into this in good momentum and the away side, who are nine points ahead of them on the table, will be trying to get back to winning ways. With both teams wanting to win this, Both Teams to Score at 17/20 is what I’m tipping to start the weekend.

Saturday 20 March

Crotone 24/10

Draw 5/2

Bologna 1/1 (16:00)

Bottom-of-the-log Crotone fought hard in their last encounter to go down 3-2. They face a Bologna side who are 16 points ahead of them and come into this in winning ways after they beat Sampdoria.  Crotone’s position on the table does not justify their performances in their last two encounters hence the reason I’m tipping the home side here.

Spezia 18/10

Draw 2/1

Cagliari 17/10 (19:00)

Spezia are winless in their last five encounters, conceding 12 goals in the process. They face a Cagliari side who were undone by defending champions Juventus in their last encounter but were on a good run prior to that. With Cagliari looking more consistent in their last few encounters, they should be added into all multiples.

Inter Milan 3/10

Draw 46/10

Sassuolo 76/10 (21:45)

The hosts have won their last six games in a row and have built a commanding nine-point lead at the summit of the Serie A. They face a Sassuolo side who fought hard in their last encounter to win 3-2. With Inter on such an impressive winning streak, they will be extremely hard to peg back and should be included in all multiples

Sunday 21 March

Hellas Verona 39/10

Draw 29/10

Atalanta 13/20 (13:30)

Hellas Verona won their last two on the bounce and face a tough task against Atalanta who currently fills the last Champions League spot. The away team do look a bit too strong in this encounter and should brush aside their hosts. Add Atalanta to all bets.

Juventus  2/10

Draw 56/10

Benevento Calcio 11/1 (16:00)

The hosts are on a good run of form at the moment and face a Benevento side who haven’t won since January 6. This really should be a walk in the park for the hosts, but the 2/10 offer isn’t really much value, so back them on the (-2) Handicap at 14/10.

Sampdoria 14/10

Draw 21/10

Torino 2/1

The hosts are winless in their last five and they face a Torino side who are winless in their last two. Sampdoria are 12 points ahead of their visitors on the table and that looks to be the best possible indicator in this tough game to call. I’m narrowly tipping the hosts.

Udinese 5/2

Draw 22/10

Lazio 1/1

The home team are undefeated in their last five encounters, winning two of those games. They face a Lazio team who fought hard in their last encounter to win 3-2 to Crotone. Both these teams are very unpredictable, but I am expecting a cagey first half. I’m tipping the Half-time Draw at 11/10.

Fiorentina 24/10

Draw 23/10

AC Milan 1/1 (19:00)

The hosts dismantled Benevento in their last outing and should be filled with confidence for their game against second-placed AC Milan. Things haven’t gone Milan’s way of late and they will be trying to fix that against their hosts in this encounter. With Ibrahimovic on course to return from injury, Milan should be back to their best. Add them in all your multiples.

Roma 13/10

Draw 5/2

Napoli 19/10 (21:45)

Roma were involved in the biggest upset of last weekend’s round of fixtures when going down to Parma. They face a Napoli side who are on a good run of form, winning four of their last five matches. With both teams locked on the same number of points, it will be a tough encounter but I’m tipping the away team to just edge it as they have no midweek European competition to worry about.

TREBLE @8/1

Cagliari Win 17/10

Atalanta Win 13/20

AC Milan 1/1
