Sources in Tanzania have revealed that Orlando Pirates have shown interest on Yanga’s star Feisal Salum. The Tanzanian international has been hot property and is having a season of his life.
Young Africans are currently bossing their domestic league. They are unbeaten after 21 matches and also have a 12-point lead at the top.
Like any other league in Africa, if there is a player or players that has been outstanding, the big teams from the continent or Europe will come knocking for the services of that player.
There is no difference with Yanga, big teams are believed to have enquired about the availability of certain players. Speaking to a source close to the club, he revealed that South African giants Orlando Pirates are one of the teams to contact Yanga and show some interest on Feisal Salum.
“Yanga haven’t really had an offer from any South African team. However, they did receive a call from somebody who claimed to be from Orlando Pirates.
The person asked the club about Salum and he was told that the player has a contract with Yanga, but with the right offer on the table, the club is willing to negotiate and that person never phoned again so I don’t know if they will come back or not,” said the source in Tanzania.
Salum is a 24-year-old Tanzanian International who has been one of Yanga’s shining lights this season. He is one of the players that has contributed to what will be a title-winning season. Feisal plays as an offensive midfield that can shoot from range and also provides assists to his game.
If Pirates were to land him, they would’ve gotten themselves a quality individual that has a lot of potential.
