Only one team will progress from Group G to the third qualifying round.

Bafana currently top the group with 10 points with the Brave Warriors bottom off the standings with just one point.

They are the only team to take points from South Africa, in their opening day goalless draw.

The two sides come face to face at the FNB Stadium on Thursday, and while Bafana then travel to play Ghana for their final game, Zimbabwe are at home to Ethiopia.

Ahead of their upcoming game, the interim coach said on News Day: “We want to win the game. As a nation, we have a battered pride, so we need to restore our pride.

“We will definitely go out there and try to get a positive result. We have to go out there with a positive mind and try to fight for the national badge and get back home with a good result.”

Mapeza added: “I am happy with the players’ attitude. All the players are pushing and I hope it will remain the same going forward, but what we don’t want is to have injuries before our game on Thursday.”
