Orlando Pirates coach Jośe Riveiro says the team performed well against Moroka Swallows on Tuesday night, however, they could have done better.
Orlando Pirates won 2-0 on their DStv Premiership match-up and will be going up against TS Galaxy on Saturday.
Addressing the press on the match Coach Riveiro indicated that the team missed too many opportunities and that this was not their best game.
“It was a very tactical first half, with two clear proposals trying to beat each other. There was low rhythm in my opinion, also in the first half, the opponent tried to control the rhythm, delaying the real start, which is ok… But it was a bit boring for a while there in the first half, not many things were happening. The action was more in the middle of the field and not close to the boxes.”

“From our side we managed to score a goal before the half-time, which is important for obvious reasons. The second half started out a bit slow again. I think we committed more faults today than we did the rest of the season; however, we eventually doubled the lead at about 61 / 62 minutes, and I think from there the game was much more clear for our side.” said Riveiro.
He said the team had the opportunity to score more but didn’t finish the game well.
“But overall, 3 points. I’m very happy with the results, I’m quite happy with the performance even though it was not our best game.” said Riveiro.
