Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday confirmed the departure of several first-team stars as the club continues a major squad overhaul.

Chiefs confirmed in an official statement that attacker Keagan Dolly alongside midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe will headline a mass player exodus in a major squad overhaul ahead of the 2024/25 DStv Premiership season.

Defenders S’fiso Hlanti and Njabulo Ngcobo are also set to leave the club at the expiration of their current contracts.

“The Club has conducted discussions with various players’ representatives and technical staff regarding their respective contractual situations,” the club said in a statement.

“There have been some decisions made, though, and the following players have been released at the end of their contracts”

Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi is expected to take over the helm as the Soweto giants’ new head coach.

Nabi will be accompanied by his highly experienced technical team, including assistant coaches Fernando Da Cruz and Fernando Da Cruz. Ilyes Mzoughi as the goalkeeper coach and Majdi Safi as the strength and conditioning coach.

Chiefs are also expected now to complete several major signings after the arrival of Nabi with the striker position, left-back alongside strengthening the centre-back position all areas of immediate concern.
