Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Fortune Makaringe has joined Cape Town City.
The news were confirmed by the Citizens on Friday, ending the speculation about the 31-year-old’s next destination after being released by Pirates.
Makaringe signed a three-year deal with the Eric Tinkler-coached side.
This will not be the first time that Makaringe works under Tinkler’s tutelage. The pair worked together at Maritzburg United.
The player will be hoping that the move to City helps him revive his career after he had become a forgotten man at the Sea Robbers towards the end of this contract.
Last season, Makaringe made 14 appearances for the Soweto giants in all competitions. He scored a single goal and assisted once.
