SuperSport United teen sensation Shandre Campbell could be plying his trade in Europe next season after agent Mike Makaab confirmed strong interest in the attacker.
Campbell, who scored two goals in 13 appearances in the recently completed DStv Premiership season is still just 18 years old but has caught the attention of several European sides.
“The likelihood of him staying in South Africa is not good,” agent Mike Makaab told Gigasi FM.
“We have a few teams that have expressed interest in the young man, and I’m hoping within the next seven to 10 days, at a stretch 14 days, to be able to give you some exciting news about Shandre Campbell.
“We have a number of very interesting clubs who have expressed a serious interest to bring him to Europe for the start of the new season.”
While it is not clear who is leading the race to secure the young winger’s signature, reports suggest that Belgian Pro League champions Club Brugge were interested.
