Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday made a statement of intent in search of long-awaited silverware by confirming the blockbuster appointment of Nasreddine Nabi as head coach.

The Soweto giants confirmed the worst-kept secret in the DStv Premiership with the appointment of the Tunisian tactician from Moroccan side FAR Rabat.

The 58-year-old comes with a renowned reputation as a serial winner after guiding the Moroccan giants and Tanzanian side Young Africans to multiple titles.

Nabi will be accompanied by his highly experienced technical team, including assistant coaches Fernando Da Cruz and Fernando Da Cruz. Ilyes Mzoughi as the goalkeeper coach and Majdi Safi as the strength and conditioning coach.

Chiefs are also expected now to complete several major signings after the arrival of Nabi with the striker position, left-back alongside strengthening the centre-back position all areas of immediate concern.
