Mbule, who joined Sundowns in July 2022 from cross-town rivals SuperSport United, made 51 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist for the Brazilians.

However, due to limited game time, the 26-year-old midfielder was loaned out to Babina Noko on a season-long loan.

Following Masandwana’s 4-1 victory over Marumo Gallants, Mngqithi shared insights into the decision to loan out Mbule.

The coach explained that while the player needed more regular playing time, he still rates Mbule highly and believes there’s potential for the player to return to the club and play a significant role in the future.

“I think it’s good for the boy because I like him a lot and I believe he’s got so much that he can give us,” Mngqithi said.

“I think it will be very good for him to taste another environment and he still has a chance to come back to the club and help us because we were struggling with a lot of things in terms of his physical condition because when you’re not playing regularly you’re always bound to gain weight and have this issue, that issue.

“Then you’re given a chance, you get injured, because maybe your physical condition maybe you’re not getting as many as game as we would’ve loved.

“But I still see him coming back to Sundowns and claiming his place in this team.

“I think it will help him if he could manage to play regularly for Sekhukhune. I think we will benefit as a club and he will also benefit because I believe he can help us towards the end, maybe even go further in his career, because he is a very good football player.”
