NEWS: ‘If they want to beat us again, they should buy Mbappe, Ronaldo and Messi and take the highest coaching education’ – Sead Ramovic hits out at Mamelodi Sundowns’ “Mr Sunshine”

A livid Sead Ramovic challenged Mamelodi Sundowns to buy some of the world’s best footballers and for Rulani Mokwena to attain the highest coaching qualifications if they wanted to beat his TS Galaxy side.

A livid Sead Ramovic challenged Mamelodi Sundowns to go out and buy some of the greatest footballers on the planet such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe and even Lionel Messi and for Rulani Mokwena to attain the highest coaching qualifications - which he lacks - if they wanted to get the better of his TS Galaxy side.

Ramovic said this after his impressive Galaxy side held Sundowns to a 1-1 draw in a drama-filled DStv Premiership match at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.

Puso Dithejane scored for the Rockets in the 78th minute before Peter Shalulile’s 85-minute goal prevented what would have been Masandawana’s first league loss in 53 matches under Mokwena’s tutelage.

Ramovic and Mokwena have become sworn enemies as they have been throwing words and serious allegations at each other.

Before the Tuesday game, a few media houses reported that Mokwena and Sundowns were served with a High Court summons by the Rockets and Ramovic.

This is about Mokwena’s allegations that Ramovic told his players to intentionally injure midfielder Bongani Zungu when the two sides met in April.

In a hard-hitting post-match interview with SuperSport TV, the German-born mentor swiped at Mokwena, referring to the 37-year-old as “Mr Sunshine” again and implying he was doing well because of Sundowns’ bottomless pockets.

“We won the game for us, yes it’s just a point but the attitude, the braveness and the dedication for the game and everything was just unbelievably high,” said Ramovic.

“I have to give a lot of credit to my staff, beautiful supporters. A big thank you for that they came and how they supported us.

“This is just a start for a beautiful thing like I said when I came, we want to be one of the best teams in our league.

“It’s a process but we are on the right track. We improve every year and now we have 44. We have to make sure to win our last game of the season to be in the top four,” Ramovic said.

“It will be amazing if we can reach that, for us it will be like we won the league. Because if you look at the financial power we have and what other teams have, especially Mr Sunshine with a group here, this is hard work, this is coaching, this is quality and this is the highest education as a coach.

“If they want to beat us again, maybe they should buy Mbappe, Ronaldo and Messi. Maybe he has a bigger chance, if not, maybe he has to take the highest education because this is what he doesn’t have.”

Mokwena’s highest coaching qualification is believed to be the CAF A Licence. While, Ramovic holds a UEFA Pro Licence, the highest qualification in coaching.

“All in all, congratulations to the institution Sundowns for the league title. They have unbelievably great supporters and unbelievably great players,” Ramovic concluded.
