Kaizer Chiefs have been charged by the Premier Soccer League for being unable to control their supporters.
Amakhosi struggled for results this season under head coach Molefi Ntseki, who was sacked on Monday following the loss to TS Galaxy in the Carling Knockout Cup
After the game at the FNB Stadium, Molefi was pelted with missiles for the fourth time as he left the field.
The PSL have now confirmed that the club will appear before a disciplinary committee on October 31.
Ntseki has since been replaced by Cavin Johnson as interim head coach.
Part of a Citizen report read: “PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu confirmed later that Chiefs have been charged, and will appear before a PSL DC on October 31.

“Chiefs are expected to be forced to play a home game behind closed doors, as stated by Majavu the last time Chiefs were found guilty of spectator misbehaviour.
“At the start of October, Chiefs were punished with a R180 000 fine after their fans rioted at the end of both the DStv Premiership defeat to SuperSport United, and the MTN8 semifinal, second leg loss to Mamelodi Sundowns.
“In August, Chiefs were also fined R100 000, of which R30 000 was suspended, after their fans also threw missiles at Ntseki following a 1-0 defeat by TS Galaxy.
“Chiefs have another R50 000 fine that was suspended in October, heading their way, while a more severe financial punishment is likely to be added to that, as well as being forced to play a game behind closed doors.”
