NEWS: Morgan Mammila facing uncertain Baroka future

Bakgaga needed to beat Richards Bay by two goals in their final round-robin clash but ultimately went down by a 4-0 scoreline to remain in the second tier of South African football.

The result left the club bottom of the three-team group with just two points from their four games and facing another season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Speaking after the Wednesday’s match, Mammila explained he will sit down with the club’s bosses to plot the way forward.

He told SuperSport: “I still have to sit down with the chairman and see what’s the way forward.

“But I can see this team needs a lot of things to rebuild, so we’ll sit down and see what’s the future for the team.”

Mammila added that his team struggled against Richards Bay after a long day of travelling to the tie.

“I think the traveling of yesterday killed us because we only leave home at seven o’clock,” he explained.

“We took a flight one o’clock and we arrived around four o’clock. We arrived at the hotel around five and we couldn’t even train.”
