Pirates have found the back of the net just four times in their last eight matches. This, after netting 18 in their opening eight matches of the season.

The Buccaneers have drawn too many matches with the 1-1 stalemate with Polokwane City in their last match another. The Sea Robbers have won only two of their last six DStv Premiership matches.

The Ghost have not seen their side win at home in the league since August and Pirates will be desperate to return Orlando Stadium to the fortress it once was. Jose Riveiro has a 53 percent home win record as head coach.

The Spaniard still very much has the backing of the board as he has won the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup.

Sekhukhune are a side once again pulling their weight and occupy 11th position. Babina Noko will be buoyed by the fact that they held Pirates to a draw the last time the sides met.

Riveiro admitted the lack of goals of late is causing a big headache.

“I can be concerned about the things that we are not doing well, and need to be corrected during the week. We are not finding the goals as easy or frequent as we’d like to,” Riveiro said after the Polokwane draw.

“That’s a handicap in a game like football. I am busy, not concerned, with problems. We must make sure that we get new problems in a game, not the old ones.”
