Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro has praised the unique and rigorous training sessions introduced by new coach Nasreddine Nabi during their high-intensity pre-season tour.
Amakhosi are currently in Turkey for their pre-season camp, with Nabi focused on ensuring a strong start to the new campaign, beginning in August.
Reflecting on the training sessions in Turkey, Chivaviro revealed how it is helping players understand the responsibilities and expectations of playing for a prestigious club like Chiefs.
“The first two weeks have been a lot of hard work,” Ranga said.
“To be quite honest, it’s nothing I’ve ever experienced. It’s going to benefit the team so much.
“The intensity is high, the concentration levels are high, the competition is high.
“This is what you need in a big club like Kaizer Chiefs.”
Chiefs are expected to return back to South African shores next week as they will face Young Africans of Tanzania in a Toyota Cup at the Free State Stadium on the 28 July.
