Ngezana made two high-profile errors in the 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend, resulting in him being benched for the 1-0 win over Richards Bay on Saturday.

Zwane brought on Ngezana in the second half of the Richards Bay clash, and he was met by boos from his own supporters.

“I think football taught me that it’s how you come back after experiencing a setback,” Zwane said.

“He brought stability at the back as we had to play with three in defence to push our full-backs high and wait for the right moment to exploit the spaces behind our opponents.

“So yes, I understand our fans sometimes feel a little bit insecure because of the previous game but it’s part of the game.

“His confidence is going to grow and even our fans will again start believing in him.”
