Oswin Appollis

According to media reports, there’s a huge interest in the Bafana Bafana forward, Appollis and the chances of Polokwane City deciding to cash in on their hot property are quite high.

The 23-year-old star is said to be on the radar of Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs while Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi didn’t rule a possibility of bidding for his services.

The Cape Town-born left winger is still contracted to Rise and Shine until June 2026 with an option for another year.

Samir Nurkovic

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Nurkovic, surprisingly parted ways with TS Galaxy recently after joining them in September last year.

The Serbian forward had a decent stint with the Rockets, scoring eight goals in the league and two in Cup competitions.

This was an excellent return considering he was mostly played from the bench.

The 32-year-old has attracted interest from SuperSport United with his former coach Gavin Hunt showing excitement about the possibility of reuniting with the player.

As a free agent, Nurkovic can still be signed even after the transfer window has been closed on Friday.

Bongani Zungu

Zungu has been linked with several clubs in and outside of South Africa after parting ways with Sundowns at the end of last season.

However, nothing has materialised so far. Just like Nurkovic, Zungu can be signed at any point as a free agent.

The 31-year-old has been linked with Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club from Morocco while Kaizer Chiefs has been mentioned a few times.

Some reports have suggested he could be off to the money-spinning Saudi Pro League.

Zakhele Lepasa

The Orlando Pirates man is heavily linked with a move away from the Soweto giants after falling down the pecking order in the striking department at the club.

Last season’s DStv (now Betway) Premiership top goalscorer Tshegofatso Mabasa is currently the main target man for the Sea Robbers.

And recently, Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has preferred using young striker Boitumelo Radiopane from the bench.

There’s still Evidence Makgopa who appears to be ahead of Lepasa. The latter has been linked with a move to SuperSport, where he has played and did well on loan before. However, the club is also assessing Nurkovic.

Keagan Dolly

The 31-year-old is another high-profile star who is not attached to any club after his contract with Chiefs was not renewed.

One would have thought a player of Dolly’s stature wouldn’t be shot of suitors, but the former Sundowns and Bafana star is still without a club.

He is a free agent and can be signed beyond the closure of the transfer window deadline.

Sipho Mbule

Mbule’s agent Mike Makaab has been quoted in media saying they are looking to get the player a loan move due to limited game time at Sundowns.

He has been linked with Sekekhune United and will be hoping if the move happens it will help revive his career.

Richard Ofori

Ofori is another high-profile player who has struggled to find a new home after leaving Pirates at the end of last season.

The member of the Ghana national team leadership group has been working hard at training as he hopes to find a new team.

Lesedi Kapinga

Kapinga’s mission to revive his career at Pirates didn’t go according to plan and was forced to leave the club just after one season.

The talented midfielder joined the Sea Robbers ahead of last season from Sundowns where he had been reduced to a mere spectator.

He would be hoping that his next destination would work out.
