PSL PLAYOFFS: Vusumuzi Vilakazi won’t allow Richards Bay to lose at home to Baroka

Vilakazi’s charges lead the three-team group with five points, ahead of the University of Pretoria on goal difference, with who they played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday. They are also three clear of Baroka in third place.

While Tuks have finished their play-off games, a win or a draw for Richards Bay will see them play top-flight football next term. Baroka though would need all three points and win by a two-goal margin if they are to overtake Richards Bay and finish top.

Meanwhile, a 1-0 win for Baroka would send Tuks up.

Vilakazi told SuperSport TV: “We’re playing at home. He [Baroka coach Morgan Mammila] must know that he’s coming for a very tough one.”

The last time the Natal Rich Boys faced Baroka, the teams played out a goalless draw in the playoffs.

Vilakazi added: “We haven’t lost a game, and we’re not gonna lose a game starting with Baroka at home.

“They failed to beat us away, so we can’t allow them to beat us at home.

“So, it’s gonna be a very interesting one because he also has hope. I think he needs about three goals if I’m not mistaken to make it to the PSL and that’s not gonna happen with us.”
