AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimović announced his retirement from football on Sunday after a career that started in 1999.
The outspoken 41-year-old, infamous around the world for his colourful quotes and otherworldly goals, bowed out after the Rossoneri‘s 3-1 win over Verona at the San Siro.
The game, the final one of Milan’s season, ensured they finished their Serie A campaign in fourth.

The Swede scored a whopping 511 goals in 866 club appearances to go with 62 in 122 on the international stage.
Over the course of his glittering career, he won league titles in Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and France.
