Of course, she takes a rather steep rise in distance but her pedigree indicates that the imported daughter of Pluck should relish the ground. She will be cherry-ripe and gets the services of top jockey Delpech.

The brilliant sprinter CARRY ON ALICE ended her Cape campaign on a high when she just lasted to beat her top class stablemate Trip To Heaven to Grade 1 glory in late January. She would have recovered from her exertions during the deserved nine-week break and has the prep contest at her mercy. Naturally, the weight structure in this Pinnacle Stakes heavily favours the daughter of Captain Al who is searching for her tenth career victory.
Race 7: MOMBELA(4)
MOMBELA has his quirks but he maintained his 100% c & d win strike rate with an impressive finishing burst near the turn of the year. He was his customary slow starting self which is always a concern but the Trippi gelding still has plenty more to offer despite the resultant maximum eight-pound penalty.

The juvenile HOT CURRY made expected improvement in his fair comeback run on his Highveld debut second time out. The inmate from the Mike de Kock yard is progressive and he should be a real force from the best draw despite facing older rivals for the first time in his career.
