Race 3: PEGASI(1)
Jockey: Domeyer A – Trainer: Marcus A N
PEGASI is lightly raced and has shown some fair form thus far. He could have some issues but the four- year old understandably tired late in his comeback run in heavy conditions, eight weeks ago. The son of Jay Peg will strip fitter and has definite room for improvement. He jumps from a midfield draw on his track debut.
Race 4: CHESTER’S WISH(1)
Jockey: Neisius K – Trainer: Ramsden J
The younger sorts have a tough battle on their hands with big masses, albeit they take on ordinary older rivals in this low-key handicap. CHESTER’S WISH is plagued with issues but he has been facing considerably stronger for quite some time and he continues to drop in the ratings. His wide draws cost him in his last two efforts but still the Horse Chestnut gelding made steady progress to finish just out of the money over this c & d in his penultimate start. He has cracked a good barrier position now and is a huge contender despite his big mass.

Race 7: BOYES DRIVE(4)
Jockey: Neisius K – Trainer: Kannemeyer D
Just eight runners go to post for the day’s topliner but there are a few natural pacesetters who will ensure a cracking gallop and a true result is expected. BOYES DRIVE has had fewer runs than any of today’s rivals and he clearly has plenty of room for improvement. The imported gelding is his own worst enemy as he has been slow into stride in all of his career runs to date. However, he finishes his races well and made steady progress behind THAT COWBOY KID (5.5kgs worse off) over this trip in his last outing.
Race 8: MOUNT FUJI(1) – TOP BET
Jockey: Byleveld M – Trainer: Marshall V H
MOUNT FUJI has come on smartly since returning from a ten week break and he relished being equipped with blinkers, two weeks ago. The Vaughan Marshall inmate was outrun late into 3rd over this distance in a quality field that day and that formline could be worth following. The Admire Main colt will be cherry-ripe on his third run back from a break and he has plenty more to offer. The obvious concern is that he tries this circuit for the first time.
