Thirsk Best Bets
Race 1: No3 – HIGH PEAK
Trainer: Mark Johnston – Jockey: Franny Norton
The well-related HIGH PEAK can get the job done in the opener, having found only one to beat him on debut at Newcastle. The Fascinating Rock colt hails from a stable whose juveniles have looked well forward, and he’ll appreciate the move up to seven furlongs.
Race 9: No11 – GAMESOME
Trainer: Paul Midgley – Jockey: Connor Murtagh
Midgley is hell-bent on taking out this sprint handicap and saddles six of the 14-strong field. GAMESOME likes this course and could get the race run to suit him, though he always requires luck in running.
Windsor Best Bets
Race 5: No10 – CHAIRMANOFTHEBOARD
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Rob Hornby
With an in-form jockey on his back CHAIRMANOFTHEBOARD should make an impact in this sprint handicap. He’s not lived up to his initial promise but appears to have levelled off and ran well to get into the money on his Newmarket reappearance two weeks ago.
Chelmsford City Best Bets
Race 9: No1 – LILYPAD
Trainer: Amy Murphy – Jockey: Raul Da Silva
LLIYPAD looked much improved stepping up in trip here last week and is in good shape to defy a 5lb penalty. While her 25-1 SP may suggest that was unexpected, she was ultimately convincing and as it was her first run on the Flat for her trainer there should be more to come.
