Race 1
INFERNO MISS is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she lacked a finish in her last start over 1100M and is sure to appreciate the drop in distance here. Her penultimate effort over five furlongs was encouraging. DE GOEY returns from an 18-week break without the benefit of a barrier trial, but his last effort over five furlongs before the rest was solid and he looks the immediate threat to the former. BIG TALK’S comeback run after a 28-week break was fair and if he has come on from that, he should be competitive today. FANTASY EAGLE makes his debut after winning his barrier trial. He will also be in receipt of a 1.5kg reduction in his allocated weight thanks to his claiming apprentice.

Race 2
MOTHER’S DAY is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she put in a solid comeback outing over this c&d after a 20-week rest and from her handy draw, she should ensure that the boys know that they have been in a race. WARRAH FLASH has made gradual improvement in his last two outings, the latest being a third-place finish over this distance, just over one length behind the winner. LITTLE ROCKET MAN’S first run back over 1100M when returning from a 23 week break and a barrier trial was encouraging and he should be involved in the finish here. LOPE DE BROKER makes his debut after three barrier trials, the latest of which he won. He gets the services of a 1.5kg claiming apprentice and jumps from a mid-field draw. Any betting support for him should be respected.

Race 3
APROPROS is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and returns from a 24-week rest. She showed up well in her barrier trial to confirm her well-being and although starting from a wide gate, she should use her early speed to get across without using up too much energy. ALL THINGS returns from an even longer 85-week break, but he has had two solid barrier trial and will also get 1.5kgs taken off his back courtesy of his claiming apprentice. RIZZUTO steps up in trip, but finished well in his last outing over 1100M, suggesting the extra ground will be to his liking. ELLIA is a 3yr old filly who put up a pleasing debut over 1300M. She takes a step up in journey, but she would have come on with the experience and although she has a wide draw to deal with, she should be respected in this line-up.

Race 4
ITASCA followed up his win over 1300M with a solid effort last time out over 1700M and jumping from pole position, he could be the one to side with here. PREDICTABLE MISS is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she finished second last time out over 1700M and has the early gate speed to negate her wide draw. AESOP’S FABLE is also a 3yr old filly, but she starts from gate two and drops to a lesser centre and may do better as a result. TIGEEN is a 5yr old mare and is the stable companion of the second selection. She posted a good third over 1500M in her penultimate outing and should be right up there in the firing line today.

Race 5
Two 4yr old fillies could dominate the finish to this race, with LADY LLEWELLYN getting the nod. She has cracked pole position and won her penultimate start over this c&d. Her subsequent outing over 1300M was a tad disappointing when returning from a 16-week rest, but she has had a barrier trial since then and should be given another chance here. TESSA BURRITO finished strongly to be narrowly beaten last time out over this c&d an could chase the former home. BELBAROO is drawn one outside the top choice and was just beaten in his last outing over 1900M. He should have no issues with the drop in trip. LEISA LOUISE is a 3yr old filly who has only had the two starts to date, but she won over six furlongs on debut and then finished a close up fourth over seven furlongs next time out. If suited to the mile, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 6
STRAWB is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has her hat-trick attempt here and the manner in which she dispatched her opposition to win her last outing over 1300M would suggest that this is very much on the cards. Her wide draw is of slight concern, but she should be doing her best work late. SPIRIT OF ELIJAH drops in trip, but a repeat of his penultimate effort over 1500M would see him trouble the former. BLACK SUNRISE won going away over 1100M to record his maiden victory and on that effort, he should not be troubled with the step up in distance. He will have 1.5kg taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. RADIANT CHOICE made good late progress in his last start over seven furlongs and gets a set of blinkers re-fitted for today’s run.

Race 7
JOEY’S CHANCE tried hard when beaten a half-length in his last start over six furlongs and if he shows the same determination here, he should prove difficult to overhaul in the closing stages of this contest. COOL WORLD showed marked improvement to win his last outing over the c&d after a 23 week break and if he can confirm that effort, he should be considered for all bets. BELLADEEL was defeated by less than a length in his last outing over this c&d when friendless in the betting. He should be right up there in the dash down to the finishing post. REGIMENTAL FORCE returns from a lengthy 61 week break and has his first run for his new trainer. If able to recapture his previous form he should be considered here.
