Race 1
The fillies/mares look like they will dominate the finish here and the narrow first pick goes to PICTURE SHOW who showed good improvement last time out over six furlongs. If she has continued along that path, she should be right up there in the mix starting from a handy draw. RETURN steps up in trip but starts in a lesser center and should not be lightly dismissed. GLITCH INTHESYSTEM has cracked pole position and finished well last time out over 1300M to prove her wellbeing. PAGANI likes to race up with the speed and will ensure that the fillies/mare know that they have been in a race.
Race 2
MAY KEEP HIM steps up slightly in trip, but now races in a lesser center and should be respected in this line-up. INVICTUS DOMINI has only had the two runs after a fair barrier trial and ran on strong in that last outing over six furlongs, suggesting that the extra ground will be to his liking. NOBEL RITZ finished third last time out over six furlongs after returning from a 23-week break. If not in need of one more outing, he should be considered here. ROBYN’S SON jumps from pole position and steps up in trip, but a repeat of his penultimate effort over 1300M would see him involved in the finish here.
Race 3
MIDNIGHT ROCKET loves this venue and trotted up to win his last outing over six furlongs. He should be the one that they all have to beat today. RED EPIC ran on well in the closing stages of his last start over seven furlongs and looks to be the biggest danger to the former. GLOWING ROCK is a 7yr old mare taking on the boys, but she finished fourth last time out over seven furlongs and should give the males a good run for their money. BOLD VICTORY goes the extra distance here and is drawn the worst of them all, but he should be doing his best work late.
Race 4
OUQBA TED has his hat-trick attempt here and the manner in which he has gone about winning his last two outings would suggest that this is very much on the cards. He will have the added advantage of getting 3kgs removed from his back courtesy of his claiming apprentice. WILD MEMORIES is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she finished strongly when just beaten over a mile last time out and looks to be a danger here. STELLAR IGNITION has the early gate speed to overcome a very wide draw and should be involved in the finish here. KENYLUCK enjoys the track and is seldom too far off the action.
Race 5
ZIERA is a 3yr old filly who finished strongly to win her last start over seven furlongs to break her maiden and seems likely to enjoy going over the extra distance. Somewhat surprisingly the blinkers are removed for today’s outing. MISS ZEDEL is a 4yr old filly who is well drawn and will get the services of a 3kg claiming apprentice to assist her cause. ENCENDIO jumps up in distance, but a repeat of his penultimate effort over a mile would see him right up there in the firing line. RUFUS was a little disappointing last time out but did win his penultimate start over seven furlongs and is not out of it here.
Race 6
BLANKENBERGE is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she completed her hat-trick last time out over 1100M. She won going away that day and could prove difficult to topple here. TRADE TALK is seldom far off the action and finished well last time out over six furlongs and could be the biggest threat to the former. BLACK DYNAMITE has solid recent form to his name and from his mid-field draw, he should be a factor in this contest. KHAN ran on well in his latest outing and is sure to appreciate the slightly longer trip
Race 7
SLUICE BOX ran on strongly last time out over seven furlongs and should have little issues dropping down in trip. He will get 3kgs removed from his allocated weight thanks to his claiming apprentice. FRIAR’S FANCY is seldom far off the winner and stayed on last time out over six furlongs and should enjoy going the extra ground. THE CROWN PRINCE likes to race up with the speed and the shorter journey is sure to be to his liking. ENACTMENT is a 5yr old mare who has a poor draw to negotiate, but she possesses good early gate speed and may be able to get across without using up too much energy.
Race 8
MYCROFT stayed on well last time out over 1900M and should enjoy the extra distance. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be looking to redeem himself here. PALACE ROGUE has his peak run today. He won his comeback outing over seven furlongs when returning from a 22-week break and his last outing over 1900M was encouraging. PUSH TO PASS is a 9yr old gelding who will be assisted with having 3kgs removed from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. DEFIANTLY is a 6yr old mare who’s last three runs over 1900M have been solid.
