Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo claims “whatever comes will be for the best” amid speculation he could join Paris Saint-Germain or Man Utd.

The Portugal international was a key figure during huge successes at both the Red Devils and Real Madrid with the forward winning numerous trophies at both clubs.

Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a Champions League at Man Utd, before going on to win an unbelievable four Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles at Real.

Ronaldo was brought in to Juventus to ultimately win the Champions League but they have so far failed to do that, with the Old Lady only just managing a top-four finish in Serie A this term.

And there has been speculation that he could return to Man Utd, while PSG are also thought to have a keen interest in taking him to Paris.

However, the Portugal international would not confirm the rumours but did hint he could be leaving Juventus.

When asked about the speculation, Ronaldo told reporters (via Goal): “I have been playing at the highest level for many years this doesn’t faze me, maybe if I was 18 or 19 I might have had some sleepless nights, but I’m 36. Whatever comes will be for the best regardless of staying at Juve or being transferred.

“The crucial thing now is the Euros, it is my fifth Euros, but for me it’s like my first Euros. We want to play a good match with good thoughts from the first to the last match.”

Former Man Utd defender Gary Pallister recently welcomed the idea of bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, he said: “I could see him coming back.

“He had a great time at Old Trafford, and coming back here would suit Cristiano with Juve struggling with Champions League qualification.

“He didn’t have issues here the first time round under the leadership of Sir Alex, and you can see that he still looks after himself and has that hunger.

“He still wants to compete at the top level and play Champions League football, and if he comes to United you have to find a place for Cristiano Ronaldo.

“He’s a magnificent player and still has that hunger to prove himself as the best player that’s ever walked this planet.

“I think he’s on record as wanting to play until he’s 40 – sometimes when you’re bringing a player back to a club you worry about the hunger and desire if it’s something seen as more of a final payday.

“You see the way he talks and trains, he’s still keen and can be one of the best players in the world at United.”
