Mamelodi Sundowns safely landed in Omdurman, Sudan, where they will fight for top place in Group B of the CAFCL.

The coach, Ibenge, bolstered his squad with top internationals like Fabrice Ngoma at the beginning of the season with the hope that he can deliver a knockout finish. Ibenge won the CAFCC last season with RS Berkane, beating Orlando Pirates 1-0.
Sundowns will be hoping Cassius Mailula will celebrate his Bafana Bafana call-up with a top performance that has made him catch the eye of Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos. Three goals in four matches is his record in his maiden CAFCL season and Broos has indicated Mailula shouldn’t be rushed to Europe soon.
