Adesanya is a definite favorite for the encounter, but du Plessis might be his most dangerous opponent. Du Plessis is the first South African to be involved in a UFC title fight, so much is at stake for his pride and that of the nation.
UFC 293 will be the sixth time the promotion will take an event to Sydney, having last done so with UFC Fight Night: Werdum vs Tybura in November 2017.
