Dolphins go down to Titans at Centurion

Durban – The Hollywoodbets Dolphins lost to the Momentum Multiply Titans by 129 runs following a day four Tshepo Moreki hat-trick in their CSA 4-Day Domestic Series clash at SuperSport Park Centurion on Thursday.


The Dolphins were in search of quick wickets on the fourth morning, however the home side continued well with the bat.

Overnight they were 117 for three and added another 117 runs before they declared on 234 for seven.

Two wickets each for Daryn Dupavillon, Andile Phehlukwayo and Okuhle Cele were the contributors for the Dolphins and they were set 291 to win the match.

With wicket-keeper Grant Roelofsen out of the clash due to a concussion, Jason Oakes stepped in and scored 55 opening the batting in the run chase.

Vaughn van Jaarsveld scored 24 as him and Okes put on 35 for the first wicket, however from there the Dolphins lost wickets regularly throughout their chase.

Moreki’s hat-trick included Phehlukwayo, Eathan Bosch and Dupavillon and from there the Dolphins lost their last wicket with the score on 161.

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins will take on the VKB Knights next week in Bloemfontein.
