With the acquisition of world class players over the last few seasons, Manchester United have their priorities in order after a woeful few campaigns following the exit of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Jose Mourinho is now in his second season in charge and has implemented the right strategies going forward based on his first season observations and adaptation to English Football.

We’ve seen a stellar start by Manchester United who are scoring for fun at the moment. Key men have also been added to the squad and the bench is brimming with talented players who can deliver should need be.

We look at 7 players that could possibly win Manchester United to English Premier League

1. David De Gea

The last line of defence, De Gea is one of the greatest keepers in world football at the moment. The Spaniard joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid in 2011 at the tender age of 20, and after a rocky start to life in Manchester has shone over the last few seasons.

The Spaniard is Iker Casillas’ successor for the Spanish national team and has proven himself time and again with his match-winning performances.

2. Romelu Lukaku

The 24-year-old Belgian striker joined Manchester United this season from Everton for 75 million pounds. The Belgian beast has started life in Manchester as if he means to go on, scoring for fun in all competitions. The striker’s goal instinct, strong physique, and raw ability in front of goal make him one of Manchester United’s most lethal weapons.

3. Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Armenian is another who battled to make his mark on the side last term but has blossomed in his second. He’ claimed five assists in the league this season already to go with his one goal.

If United are to win the league this season – and indeed go a long way in the Champions League – the 28-year-old will be central to their plans and near the top of the assist charts.

4. Marcus Rashford

The 19-year-old phenom is one of the hottest young properties in world football at the moment and can almost be mentioned in the same breath as Kylian Mbappe of PSG. The young gun possesses a mesmerising style of play and the sort of blistering pace that has burley centre-halves running scared.

While his pace and trickery are plain for all to see, the youngster also possesses a deadly free-kick, blasting the ball with his in-step in much the same way David Luiz does. Last season he came on as a substitute 16 times from his 32 appearances. But his maturity hasn’t gone unnoticed as Mourinho has added him as a feature to this year’s starting line-up.

5. Nemanja Matic

Matic picked up where he left off last season. The tough-tackling Serbian was inexplicably sold by Chelsea in the summer after helping them to the league title. His presence in the midfield has allowed Pogba, Mkhitaryan, and even Marouane Fellaini to play further upfield and make an impact where it matters most – in the final third.

Don’t expect Matic to pull up any trees this season, however, his presence in the heart of the United engine room will be felt – Mourinho will hope he can stay injury free for the remainder of the season.

6. Paul Pogba

The Frenchman started his youth career with United back in 2009, however, a lack of first-team opportunities saw Juventus snap him up in a stint which saw him make 124 appearances, scoring 28 goals.

His time at Juventus saw a number of the planet’s top club jostle for his signature, with the pompous Frenchman eventually deciding to head back to Manchester for world record transfer fee of 105 million euros. While he battled to bed in last season, with the world record fee perhaps hampering somewhat, he started the 2017-18 campaign as if he means to go on. He will be missed going forward, however, as a hamstring injury picked up against Basel in the Champions League will keep him out of action until Christmas.

7. Anthony Martial

The 21-year-old Frenchman enjoyed most of his youth career at the place of his birthplace. Playing for all the French national teams since he was at the U16 level. He caught the eye of Manchester United while in Monaco where he made 49 appearances scoring 11 goals. The youngster provides suitable depth that can help United go all the way. Mourinho is pacing him into the club this season. with the UEFA Champions league still on the cards – one needs depth, and Martial is well suited for the role. Martial’s strength lies in his strong dribbling and assisting – with clinical finishing skills when faced with the goal.
