To Win
Sharks 6/10
Draw 22/1
Lions 27/20

Coming off a bye, Robert du Preez’s men will look to run the Lions ragged after the latter conceded as many as 65-points to Western Province on the weekend.

With a side containing the likes of Springbok backs Curwin Bosch and Rob du Preez Jnr., the Durbanites will be heavily favoured to maintain their unbeaten start after wins over the Blue Bulls (26-10), Free State Cheetahs (29-33) and Pumas (28-12).

The men from Gauteng, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back after their poor recent performance. A bonus-point win for them would mean potentially climbing to first, but they will be sorely lacking in confidence after their lacklustre defensive displays of late.

In spite of wins over the Griquas, Bulls and Cheetahs, they have conceded a whopping 38-points per game thus far, and this is an area that will surely be looked at in the rounds to come.

The Sharks could also nail down top spot despite having played two games less than the log-leading Bulls (17-points) with a big win in Durban. With rain expected on Saturday, the boot of du Preez Jnr. will be key if the hosts are to win the territory stats and boss the game-flow.

Verdict: Sharks 6/10
Considering the way the men from Durban have performed so far this season, it’s expected that this struggling Lions side will be put to the sword at Kings Park on Saturday.
