This daughter of Kahal is bred to enjoy the extra ground.

LADY DUCHESS beat stronger opposition with plenty in hand over shorter recently and she holds decent claims today despite the resultant four-pound penalty. The daughter of Kahal has a useful record over today’s extra furlong and she has gate speed to overcome her wide draw. Of course, it enhances her chances that she has another top jockey in the saddle.

ROY’S DISPREN has been a revelation since arriving in the province. He handled the huge rise in class extremely well when he stayed on for a good 2nd over shorter on his handicap debut a fortnight ago. The four-year-old was penalised four pounds for his exertions but he clearly has more to offer in the province and his impressive maiden victory came over this distance. The son of Windrush will be cherry ripe and is well drawn at gate 4.
