The son of Toreador showed great speed and he fought hard when going down narrowly into 3rd and he would have come on appreciably from that experience. He now gets the services of top jockey Marcus and should have plenty more to offer. The bay gelding is his yard’s only entrant on the day.

KHETIWE had two decent sprints since arriving in the province and she has her peak outing today. The former Gauteng resident has been plagued with issues so the switch to the coast has helped her cause. Of course, she placed on debut over this distance and could be a major threat from the best draw today. Top jockey Marcus takes the ride.

The filly FORBIDDEN DUEL is a decent stayer with plenty of scope and she isn’t badly weighted at this pinnacle level today. The four-year old finished well when going down narrowly to her stablemate SABRE CHARGE over this c & d in mid-January and she now meets her conqueror on 3kgs better terms. She wasn’t far behind today’s well-fancied rival SERISSA at Greyville over this distance in her penultimate run and the stronger apprentice, coupled with the switch of tracks could make a significant difference.
Race 8: ADMIRAL’S GUEST(2)

The form horses could turn this into a boat-race and the speedy ADMIRAL’S GUEST may be the first one home. The three-month break seems to have done the trick for the Admire Main gelding who produced his career best effort when outrun late into 2nd behind a decent type over this track & trip, two weeks ago. He should continue to progress and holds obvious claims.
Race 7: SHEZALEADER(2)
The bay mare SHEZALEADER has been below-par in recent efforts in much stronger company but she is reaching a competitive merit rating and today’s drop in class could make a big difference. She has a decent c & d record and ran on again over five furlongs in a strong pinnacle field two weeks ago.
