Hollywodbets Springfield Park hosted yet another successful Durban July Pre-Party on the Thursday before the July, establishing itself as a must-attend event before the big race day.
All the magic from Hollywoodbets’ 2017 July Pre-party!
The highly anticipated Hollywoodbets pre-Vodacom Durban July party at Hollywoodbets Springfield Park was a hit again this year with close to a thousand guests joining in the festivities. Guests were transported to a magical environment where their betting dreams could come true. This annual event is a firm favourite in local punters’ calendars and features an expert panel that gives their best racing tips ahead of the big day. The card call is another highlight of the evening where punters are given the opportunity to bet on each horse in the final field at incredible odds.
Party-goers were also lucky enough to receive the winning tip yet again ahead of this year’s race! Marinaresco was tipped as the one to look out for by twelve of the sponsored jockeys and trainers featured in the Hollywoodbets ‘’My Community’’ booklet that gives details about all our sponsorships from the past year. Each year we give these racing industry experts the chance to identify their July winner and Marinaresco was the clear favourite for 2017!
Hollywoodbets’ panel of racing experts including Winning Form-sponsored trainers Garth Puller and Alyson Wright as well as trainer and jockey Gavin Lerena discussed the upcoming race. Each of these racing veterans gave their opinion on every horse in the final field before sharing their personal favourites and insider tips with the eager crowd. Popular TellyTrack presenter, Deez Dayanand, hosted the discussion, while professional auctioneer Brian Makwabarara handled the card call.
There were plenty of lucky draws on the night with six punters winning some fantastic Hollywoodbets hampers as well as R500 betting vouchers. One lucky customer, Jayseelan Moodley, even won a luxury cruise for two people courtesy of Hollywoodbets mobile! As is tradition all of the guests enjoyed some mouth-watering breyani together before the dance floor was opened. The party went on long into the night with everyone showing off their best dance moves to the sounds of popular local DJ MacDaddy Mac.
Hollywoodbets also brought the magic to various other branches around KwaZulu-Natal including Chatsworth, Pelican, Raisethorpe, Malvern and Bluff. The Hollywoodbets pre-party to the Vodacom Durban July will be back again on the Thursday before Africa’s greatest race day in 2018 so we will see you there.
