Peterson says he won’t relocate with TTM

Brandon Peterson suggests it is unlikely he will uproot his family and move to Limpopo to be part of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila next season.

The Bidvest Wits goalkeeper relocated from Cape Town when he signed from Ajax Cape Town in 2019.

He is settled in Gauteng, and despite now facing an uncertain future, Peterson says he can’t make another move with his young family in tow.

Orlando Pirates are rumoured to be a potential destination for the 25-year-old, who told the Sowetan: “As things stand, I am still a Wits player.

“I haven’t had any discussions with any club. My agent [Lance Davids] is still busy binding things for me.”

“I am from Cape Town and it was already difficult to come to Gauteng. My wife is pregnant and she’s due in August. She’s already relocated from Cape Town to here [Gauteng]. It’s my second child now. I don’t think it’d be a nice thing for us to move to Venda.”

Peterson added: “My focus is still on Wits. I am happy we’ll be returning soon.

“We’ll keep on fighting to make sure we have good memories of the club’s last season.”
