We take a look at the results of the 3rd round of the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
New Zealand, USA, England, and France all booked their spots in the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 Semi Final.
The Black Ferns have been clinical throughout the tournament winning all their matches in commanding style and continued with another 48 – 5 win over Canada. The New Zealand forwards were unstoppable with ball in hand as Itunu scored her hat trick. The Canadians scored a great team try in the 61st minute after a series of offloads. New Zealand made it look too easy and will face the USA in the semi-finals.
The England side scored seven tries with three coming from rolling mauls securing a bonus point within 25 minutes. The USA secured a crucial bonus point late into the final minutes to aid their chances of a semi final spot.
Australia and Wales managed their first tournament victories. France beat the hosts, Ireland and shifted the USA up Pool C as the best runners up, giving them a semi-final berth.
