Race 4

TURNSTAR finished ninth last time out over 900M in heavy going, just over three lengths behind the winner, but he was hampered down at the start and had to be steadied at the 600M mark that day, but still finished off his race well. From draw five, he looks to be the one to side with here.

SO SUPER won by a head over six furlongs at the third time of asking and was immediately rested for 24 weeks. He returns after having four barrier trials, finishing second in the last two and from one gate outside the top choice, he should be right up there when they hit the line.

MORINGA’S AMORDORO showed marked improvement when ending up in fourth place in his latest outing over 1006M, just under a length and a half behind the victor, but he did hang out approaching the home turn and then stayed on over the latter stages. He has the widest draw of them all in gate eleven, but he should be doing his best work late.

Race 5

ANDY goes for his hat-trick after victories over six furlongs and the latest over seven furlongs, winning by 0.7L. He overraced early and had to be held up between the 300M and 200M marks that day, but still managed to stay on well over the latter stages. He will have to negotiate draw eight, but the trio of wins is very much on the cards.

TABULAM followed up his penultimate run victory over five furlongs with a fourth-place finish next time out over 1181M, 1.7L back from the winner and the form of that race has been franked. He will have to deal with an even wider draw ten, but he does have his peak run since returning from a 26-week break.

CHINA GROVE showed good improvement to win his last start over 1410M by just under half a length. He kicked clear at the 200M pole and then held off all the late challengers. He gets a kinder gate four and will have his peak outing since returning from a shorter twelve-week rest.

Race 6

The day’s best bet, STAR MAGNUM finished second last time out over 1100M, 2.3L back from the winner when returning from a 30-week absence, but then won next time out over the same c&d by just under two and a half lengths. The gelding went from jump to wire that day and the form of that race has been franked. From his handy draw four, he could prove to be difficult to reel in over the closing stages.

WHITEBAIT PATTIE had his consistency rewarded with a victory last time out over this trip by one and a half lengths. He burst clear of the opposition at the 125M mark and never looked like being caught. He jumps from a cosy draw four and could prove to be the biggest danger to the top pick.

DON’T CRY MAMA has finished third in his last three runs, the latest over this c&d, 2.3L behind the winner. He jumped awkwardly that day, but recovered well to make good late progress and should be involved in the finish here, given the fact that he has cracked pole position.

Race 7

GET ON BOARD is seldom far off the action, finishing third last time out over seven furlongs, just under half a length back from the winner. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and finished off his race strongly, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. As such, he is taken to be the value bet on the day’s card.

LETMELETGO
has only had the three runs to date, posting a second spot finish in his penultimate outing over six furlongs and then winning his maiden race last time out over seven furlongs by 0.8L. He takes on stronger here, but he has pulled pole position and has his peak run since returning from a 25-week absence.

LEMON DUCHESS
is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she won her penultimate run over seven furlongs and then finished sixth last time out over 1500M, 3.3L back from the winner at a stronger centre. She is drawn in gate two and should give the males a good run for their money.
