Winning Form – Magic Tips Selections:
The PE visitor
NATIONAL PARK had always shown decent quality and that clearly shone through as he smashed the locals on his Highveld debut at Grade 3 level over seven furlongs earlier this month. He failed in his only attempt over the mile but that was on his seasonal and handicap debut against older rivals and the Gimmethegreenlight gelding appears better equipped to handle this distance now. He faces another smart line-up but clearly looks headed for the top & should be followed with confidence.
The best weighted entrant SOQRAT showed juvenile brilliance last campaign and though he had a solid return to action in older company early last month, he was expected to perform better. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the runner-up, his stablemate Alyaasaat was put to the sword by the top rating in the Graham Beck Stakes. That said, this imported colt has huge scope for progress and is a major contender despite his poor draw.
His stablemate HAWWAAM has also drawn badly but the half-brother to the brilliant Rainbow Bridge announced himself with a smart debut triumph in a contest that restricted the jockey’s use of the crop. The son of Silvano should relish the mile but obviously faces stronger.

Winning Form Tips:
The high class
RETURN FLIGHT had an excellent juvenile campaign which culminated with an impressive Grade 1 triumph over
RAILTRIP (3kgs better off) over this distance at Greyville. The Tarry inmate has her belated seasonal debut possibly due to a setback but she may be aided by a likely sedate gallop and is certainly one worth following this campaign.
RAILTRIP was expected to beat lesser rivals that included VI VA PI PA in a recent minor feature but only managed a staying on 3rd after having too much ground to make in the latter stages. She is better drawn on her peak outing today though and is an obvious contender.
ISLE DE FRANCE is one of many who represent the RONNIE’S CANDY formline of the Starling Stakes earlier this month where this well-bred grey failed to quicken though it is encouraging that Lerena has opted for her as opposed to STORM DESTINY who didn’t disgrace herself from a wide draw in the Grade 1 event behind RETURN FLIGHT late last season. Her good draw is a major plus.
CELTIC SEA had a dismal seasonal debut in the same event behind RONNIE’S CANDY three weeks ago but she will strip fitter and can bounce right back to the smart form which saw her claim a Grade 1 last campaign.
