Winning Form Best Bets

Race 1: BRIGHT FLAME(1)
Race 2: TROTSKA(3)
Race 5: TREES OF GREEN(5)
Race 7: VIA SEATTLE(15)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: BRIGHT FLAME(1)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON – Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

The only winner in this contest BRIGHT FLAME probably just needed his comeback run over five furlongs last month. He will strip fitter now and that recent formline worked out well when the runner-up Desert Chief won a good contest last Friday. The newcomers have to be special to account for the top rating but they should be afforded much attention in the betting market.

Race 4: MASTER JAMES(11)
Jockey: Raymond DANIELSON – Trainer: Dorrie SHAM

MASTER JAMES isn’t favourably weighted on official ratings but he has performed extremely well against similar opposition today and could take advantage of pole position. He has some useful recent form and the TRUE MASTER c & d showing on 18/11 brings him heavily into the equation. The five-year-old is 2.5kgs better off for the 1.60 lengths deficit whilst he meets the runner-up JET EXPLORER on 1.5kgs favourable terms for the head defeat.

Race 7: HOT N HAZY(6)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE – Trainer: Alan GREEFF

HOT N HAZY was fancied when she led throughout to record an impressive debut victory over JOKING over five furlongs on this course in February. Of course she takes on much stronger rivals today but would have come on appreciably from that experience and this extra furlong should suit her well.

TOP BET
Race 8: ELUSIVE ROSE(5)
Jockey: Greg CHEYNE – Trainer: Alan GREEFF

ELUSIVE ROSE had an eye-catching local sprint debut and she will certainly prefer the rise to the mile today. Having said that, the daughter of Elusive Fort is most effective over more ground but the like- ly strong pace in this province, coupled with the long run-in favours her. She could represent decent each/way value at this level. She had some fair form against good types in the ‘Mother City’.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 5: KIR ROYALE(3)

Jockey: Lyle HEWITSON – Trainer: Yvette BREMNER

The three-year-old KIR ROYALE is improving rapidly with each effort and he handled the turn and mile with aplomb when shedding his maiden tag earlier this month. The lightly raced son of Sail From Seattle produced a strong finish to beat subsequent victor Bruce’s Beauty and he clearly has plenty of progress in him. He seems ahead of the handicapper’s early assessment and should be very competitive despite the slight drop in distance.
