Winning Form Comments
DELTA QUEEN is a speedy daughter of Var from the Dean Kannemeyer stable. She was ultra-impressive when winning her first two starts, the latest of which was the Cape Fillies Nursery. She would have strengthened up during her time off the track and has a good chance of keeping her unbeaten record intact.
VERNICHEY caught the eye when winning by 4.4 lengths on debut over 900m on this course. Despite losing a length at the start, she showed good speed and cruised to victory. She would have gained from the experience and could be anything.
SLALOM QUEEN looked a winner in her last start over this distance at Turffontein before getting caught on the line. She looks to have some class about her and with Anton Marcus in the saddle, she cannot be ignored.

Winning Form Comments
GREENLIGHTTOHEAVEN was ultra-impressive when winning on debut over five furlongs on this course. He showed plenty of speed that day and won easier than the official margin suggests. He would have strengthened up during his break and should have more to come. Warren Kennedy retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure once again.
JOSEPH BARRY hails from the visiting Vaughan Marshall yard. He ran a very good race when finishing just 0.3 lengths behind Erik The Red who has won again since. The son of Captain Al looks to have class about him and he merits healthy respect.
TREAD SWIFTLY jumped as favourite when winning his debut with ease over six furlongs on the polytrack. He set the pace that day and won with a ton in hand. He does take on stronger opposition this afternoon, but he could be anything and must be included in all bets.

Winning Form Comments
SPIRITOFTHEGROOVE is a horse with plenty of guts and determination. She was impressive when winning her last start against the males over this distance at Turffontein on the inside course. She has won once and finished second three times from as many attempts over this trip. Warren Kennedy has ridden the daughter of Visionaire in the past and the pair should be the ones they all have to beat.
BINOCHE lost her unbeaten record last time when finishing 0.4 lengths behind the winner over this distance. She does face her toughest test to date, but she clearly has ability and should be the one to throw out the biggest challenge to the top choice.
SILENT CRUSADE was her own worst enemy in the Flamboyant Stakes last time as she hung in the closing stages. She loves racing over this distance having won twice and finishing third once from as many starts. If keeping on a straight line, she should be right there in the run down to the wire.

Winning Form Comments
ULTRA MAGNUS has very good consistent form lines to his credit. He showed good speed in his last start and despite Anton Marcus dropping his crop, he held all challengers at bay. He has won five times and finished third once from seven starts over this distance. The son of Oratorio should be hard to peg back in the closing stages.
CARTEL CAPTAIN is ligthly raced and has some very good form to his name. He finished 0.75 lengths behind INVIDIA last time and is 2kgs better off at the weights. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. Sean Veale knows the son of Captain Of All well and he should be right there at the finish.
INVIDIA got back to winning ways in the CTS 1200 last time. He moved up very well that day and fought hard all the way to the finishing post. If all went well with his travels, he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.
