Trainer Comments:
Winning Form sponsored trainer Duncan Howells (former KZN champion conditioner) has the solitary entrant in the form of three-year old filly FIORELLA whom he felt put up a very good gallop. He also stated that she is doing well back home and is improving all the time. Duncan then added, “It is very difficult to assess the pace but the main dangers are African Night Sky, Majestic Mambo and Do It Again.”
Duncan Howells was “over the moon” with Fiorella’s draw of eight. He said, “I think with a faster pace she could have done even better (than a half-a-length second) in the Woolavington 2000 and Muzi also felt if he had gone earlier she could have done better. Everything is on song, she is exceptionally well, and will give a very good account of herself.”

Winning Form – Magic Tips Comment:
This classy three-year old filly is one of two KZN hopefuls and she has continued to progress this campaign. Of course it will be tough facing male rivals for the first time but she proved her quality when beating the brilliant miler Snowdance and then pushing Met Victress Oh Susanna hard before going down narrowly with front-running tactics over tun furlongs last time. This race could be run to suit her and she has definite hope with her low galloping mass. Her veteran jockey has already captured two Grade 1 events this year.
Verdict: Top quality filly, stiff task at the weights but will race close to early pace, watch.
