Winning Form Best Bets

Race 2: DRAGON’S DEN(3)
Race 3: GIVEUWINGS(1)
Race 4: ELEGANT LADY(4)
Race 6: KARTOUCHE(5)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 2: DODGY DUTCHIE(7)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Phillip SMITH

DODGY DUTCHIE
ran below par over 1400m two weeks ago when fly jumping at the start. This could have put paid to her chances. The son of King’s Apostle stayed on well over 1600m at this track previously, finishing 4th, 2.5 lengths behind the winner Russian Saint. Top veteran jockey Andrew Fortune rode the 3yr old gelding that day. Conditioner Phillip Smith must be confident that his charge will stay 1800m and the bay could bounce back to his best.

Race 5: CONSIDER THE CAT(7)
Jockey: Callan Murray – Trainer: Cliffie MILLER

CONSIDER THE CAT dictated from the start when winning over this c & d two weeks ago, defeating First Sign by 1.75 lengths. The 6yr old bay gelding was impressive and despite a three-pound penalty could follow up.

TOP BET
Race 6: BIZZY PEG(1)

Jockey: Calvin NGCOBO – Trainer: Jannie BORMAN

BIZZY PEG made an impressive local debut last Monday when winning over the mile. The daughter of Jay Peg was handed a five pound penalty for the win but does drop slightly in class. Conditioner Jannie Borman must be confident that his charge will stay the extra 200m.

Race 7: MATHS MAJOR(11)

Jockey: Ryan MUNGER – Trainer: Tienie PRINSLOO

MATHS MAJOR
was reported to be not striding out in her last start over 1800m but still managed to run third, albeit 8.75 lengths behind the winner Bois Cheri. The 4yr old bay filly won her maiden over the course and distance four runs back and is yet to finish out of the top three since. The daughter of Miesque’s Approval jumps from a favourable draw of two and reunites with jockey Ryan Munger.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:
Race 3: COZZENES PRINCE(3)
Jockey: Randall SIMONS – Trainer: S VON WILLINGH

The ex KZN trained COZZENES PRINCE makes his local debut for trainer S Von Willingh Smit. The son of Mogok has been placed in three of his nine starts. In form jockey Randall Simons rides and if the 4yr old bay gelding takes to the sand, could go close over the 1400m.
