This American-bred filly won at Lyon – Parilly easier than the margin suggests last time out and it is encouraging that Soumillon retains the ride this afternoon. The pair can make it back-to-back triumphs and should be very tough to peg back in the closing stages of this contest.
Race 8: No6 – MEDITERRANEA BLUES
Trainer: S Wattel – Jockey: T. Bachelot
This British-bred colt is drawn wide but he won impressively last time under this rider at Angers and he looks to still have plenty of scope for improvement, having only had the three starts to date.
Race 10: No9 – BROKEN LAND
Trainer: A Marcialis – Jockey: A. Duporte
This daughter of Ruler Of The World made a solid return to racing after a layoff when she was only beaten a half a length at the wire on this track. She has a 3kgs claiming apprentice in the irons which brings her right into this contest at the weights.
Toulouse Best Bets & Tips
Race 2: No3 – GRUDGE
Trainer: Jean – J Auge – Jockey: C. Ferland
This daughter of Free Eagle had the better of NO TURNING last time out and even though she is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights with her rival, she can make it back-to-back triumphs, shouldering the same mass she did last time out at Bordeaux.
Race 3: No3 – FICELLE DU HOULEY
Trainer: Y Barberot – Jockey: PC. Boudot
This five-year-old mare was only beaten by just under a length in her comeback effort behind Roc Angel at Vichy for an apprentice and now gets a much more capable rider in the saddle this afternoon. She will strip fitter and may be difficult to peg back in the closing stages of this contest.
Race 6: No2 – GALOUBET
Trainer: F Vermuelen – Jockey: M. Guyon
This progressive four-year-old didn’t disgrace himself in his comeback effort on a slow track last time out and it is encouraging that he reunites with his regular pilot this afternoon. He arguably needed that latest outing at Salon-De-Provence and he could take a power of beating in this contest.
Race 8: No9 – BAILEYS DIABLE
Trainer: La Urbano Grajales – Jockey: M. Forest
This son of Rajsaman returned well to racing after a four-month layoff when he was only beaten by half a length over a mile on this track. He goes over the same course and distance this afternoon and looks well handicapped in this Class 3 contest.
