TOP BET FOR TODAY
Race 1: SLOANE (9)

Jockey: Naidoo S – Trainer: Smith G

SLOANE is a speedy daughter of Crusade from the Gavin Smith stable. She may not have seen out the six furlongs in her last start as she lacked a strong finish. She finished runner-up in her previous three runs, two of which were over this distance. She drops back to maiden company today and may be too good for this field.
Race 4: OKAVANGO DELTA (1)
Jockey: Ndlovu X – Trainer: Strydom J

OKAVANGO DELTA produced a decent comeback run over a mile on the turf last week Friday. Despite racing wide, the manner in which he stayed on at the finish was encouraging. He has won once, finished second three times and third twice from ten outings over this c&d. Xolani Ndlovu is back aboard today and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 5: EXION (1)

Jockey: Ndlovu X – Trainer: Strydom J

EXION was his own worst enemy last time as he overraced and compounded. He produced three good runs prior to that effort. The son of Querari makes his stable debut this afternoon and if suited to the polytrack, may be the one they all have to beat.

Race 6: FORGET O’ GIRLS (1)

Jockey: Naidoo S – Trainer: Smith G

FORGET O’ GIRLS finished 1.75 lengths behind TAWNY JET in her last start over this c&d, but is 2kgs better off at the weights today. That should be enough for the tables to be turned. If not in need of this outing, she should go one better this afternoon.

VALUE BET
Race 8: BUSHY PARK (1)
Jockey: Agrella W – Trainer: D A McKenzie

BUSHY PARK was making steady progress in her last start over the minimum trip. She is better suited to today’s distance and her record shows as she has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this c&d. Wayne Agrella and Duncan Mckenzie teamed up to win the last race on Friday last week and they can do the same today.
