WOW HOLIDAY probably raced too soon when he flopped badly second time out. His conditioner immediately rested the imported colt for ten weeks and that would have done him the world of good. The son of Harlan’s Holiday made an exciting debut on the grass seven days earlier and he obviously has decent ability. He returns to the polytrack tonight and could bounce back to his best form.
Race 4: MUSIC WORLD(7)
Jockey: Kennedy W – Trainer: Van Zyl G H
MUSIC WORLD found some outside betting support when she was green on her fair debut over seven furlongs on the grass, eight weeks ago. She met some useful sorts that day and the 3rd placed finisher has won since. The daughter of Ideal World would have strengthened during her absence and she is bred to relish tonight’s extra furlong. She should make natural improvement and could stake a serious claim if handling this surface.
Race 5: SILVA HAWK(3)
Jockey: Marcus A – Trainer: Tarry S G
The Stormy Eclipse c & d formline on 18/08 could dominate the outcome of this competitive handicap. The first selection is SILVA HAWK who is rather interestingly, the only entrant from the Sean Tarry yard on tonight’s card and top jockey Anton Marcus climbs aboard the five-year old. The bay gelding has obvious issues but he showed earlier promise and did attract outside betting support on his polytrack debut, two weeks ago. He finished close-up in sixth against stronger that day and will be cherry-ripe on his third run back from a break tonight. The Silvano gelding has cracked pole barrier position.
Race 8: TREBLE TOT(5)
Jockey: Sturgeon I – Trainer: Miller M D
TREBLE TOT has continued an excellent run of form and she finished strongly for a close 2nd on the grass over this trip, three weeks ago. She faces a slightly higher level of opposition today and she picked up a two pound penalty, but the daughter of Mogok is effective on this surface and she is well drawn. She has struck up a fine partnership with tonight’s jockey and she still merits healthy respect.

Race 3: LONG WALK(3)
Jockey: Randolph S – Trainer: G/K Anthony
There are a few speedy types in this competitive handicap and a likely suicidal pace could play into the plans of those that finish their races well. LONG WALK is a course specialist who is much better than his last outing when he probably found the minimum trip too sharp for him. He finished well for 3rd over this c & d prior to that and could relish the likely blistering pace. The four-year old gelding is the solitary entrant from his yard on tonight’s card and he can make big improvement on that last run.
