RACE 1
ONE STEP AHEAD is
coming along the right way! He has placed in both his runs this term and
doesn’t take on the strongest of Class 5 rivals. GALAXY EMPEROR is racing consistently. He gets the blinkers fitted
which should keep his mind on the task at hand and he can pose a threat to the
top selection. YEE CHEONG LUCKY is
much better than his last two starts. He should be cherry-ripe having his third
run after a rest and it will be no surprise to see him find a swift return to
form with Karis Teetan giving him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
RACE 2
The South African-bred ANONYMA
almost led from gun to tape last time out. He got caught in the shadow of
the post on that occasion but with similar tactics he can make amends from his
inside barrier position. FAITHFUL TRINITY
is much better than his last start suggests. He jumps from pole position and
will benefit from a 3kgs apprentice allowance. RIGHT HONOURABLE has finally cracked a good draw and with some luck
in running he should make his presence felt.
RACE 3
This is a very open Class 5 Handicap where some caution is
advised. GREEN ENVY doesn’t finish
too far off the winner. He just needs a bit of assistance from the handicapper
and it won’t be long until he gets his first career victory. KA FORTUNE relished racing back in this
class last time out and he has the ability to pose a challenge to the top
selection. KWAI CHUNG ELITE is yet to win a race but he gets Joao Moreira aboard
who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
RACE 4
INCANTO PREPARED
followed up his recent win with a good fourth-place finish. He was finishing
strongly on that occasion and was only beaten 0.8L at the wire. He won his
penultimate effort under Joao Moreira and it is encouraging to see the pair
reunited. V CHEVALIERS won by the
narrowest of margins last time. He carries 3kgs more today but must be
respected back again in the same class. LUCKY
MISSILE is a course and distance winner. If putting his best foot forward
then he can run into the money.
RACE 5
WILD WEST WING
won in this class two starts ago. He is holding his condition well and
represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. ARDENODE is yet to win on this course
but he brings some decent form into this contest. He should be cherry-ripe
having his third run after a rest and if putting his best foot forward then he
should be right there at the business end. CARRY
THE DIAMOND finished well of the
pace last time. He has a wide draw to overcome but if getting across without
using up too much energy then he can earn his first victory.
RACE 6
SPRINT FORWARD
has finished runner-up in his last two starts. Not only is he difficult to
oppose on paper but he will also benefit from a 3kgs apprentice claim thanks to
Jerry Chau. He was only beaten by a head last time out and will be looking to
make amends. NOBLE MAN performed
fairly well in his latest. He was only beaten 2L at the wire and looks nicely
handicapped in this contest. FANTASTIC
FABIO has gone off form since his
win on 14 October but if he can reproduce his best then he can run into the
money.
RACE 7
KEEP YOU WARM has
gone close in his last two outings. He settled just off the pace last time and
was only beaten 0.8L at the wire. He won’t be short of race-fitness and should
be a strong contender. STORM WARNINGS
finished runner-up behind the progressive Sky Darci. The form of that race
should be enough to win a contest of this nature. HARDLY SWEARS has placed in his last three outings. He is held by
the second selection on his latest though as he is 1kg worse off at the
weights.
RACE 8
SOLAR WAI WAI
finished strongly in his comeback effort when pipped at the wire by Buddies. He
is a three-time winner on this course and can make amends for the recent narrow
defeat. GREEN LUCK finished right
behind the top selection last time. He meets his recent conqueror on similar weight
terms and may have to settle for the same result. STAR PERFORMANCE was no match for the winner in his last start but
he is working himself towards a win. If repeating his 06 September effort then
he can finish in the money.
RACE 9
MEHBOOB moved up
nicely last time but tired in the late stages. The form of his penultimate run
when defeating Winning Endeavour catches the eye. Matthew Chadwick knows him
well and he is capable of finding a form return in the lucky last race. SCORES OF FUN is much better than his
last start suggests. He is a horse that is still clearly on the upgrade and
should the top choice fluff his lines then he will be there to pick up the
pieces. LE TERRIOR holds a few of
these runners on form. He followed up his recent win with a decent third-place
finish behind Stanley Park and on that effort must have claims for minor money.
