RACE 1
FOX CHEUNGER won his last start in good fashion under Magic Moreira. He finished second in his last run at Happy Valley and looks to be a strong contender in the opening contest. GREEN ENVY narrowly failed last time out. He was reported to be lame post-race and if over those issues then he should be able to pose a threat to the top selection. KWAI CHUNG ELITE is much better than his moderate last outing. He got crowded for room at the 300m mark and that run is probably best ignored. If reproducing some of his prior form then he should be right there at the business end of affairs.
RACE 2
CALIFORNIA LEGEND has performed well in his last two outings. He set the pace last time and was only collared in the final furlong. He still stayed on well at the finish and from pole position he should be a massive runner in this contest. ROYAL RACER won impressively last time out. He was only narrowly beaten under Magic Moreira in his penultimate effort and the pair can make amends. SUMSTREETSUMWHERE didn’t settle last time out but still managed to finish in the money. He will benefit from an apprentice allowance again and should be right there if repeating that run.
RACE 3
SUPREME PLUS won his last start under Karis Teetan who returns from suspension. He got up in the shadow of the post on that occasion but the guts he showed suggests that can reel off the hat-trick of wins. SHINING ON moved up like a winner last time out and dead-heated under this rider. It is encouraging that he has kept faith in the ride and the pair can follow up. CARRY THE DIAMOND is still relatively unexposed. His debut run at Sha Tin catches the eye as he finished his race off positively. If repeating that type of effort then he can run into the money.
RACE 4
WILD WEST WING is the best bet on today’s card. The Size-trained inmate finished runner-up in his last outing Magic Moreira. He moved up like a winner that day but was outrun in the final furlong of that contest and looks set to make amends. SIMPLY FLUKE took a bump at the starting stalls in his last outing but the manner in which he finished his race off was encouraging. He will benefit from an apprentice allowance and looks fairly handicapped in this contest. FARM BUMPER won impressively last time and he has performed best with Chad Schoefield in the saddle. If repeating that last effort he could make it back-to-back triumphs.

RACE 5
HERE COMES TED is in good form for Karis Teetan. The run that catches the eye in his effort on 20 May when he showed guts and determination to get up in the shadow of the post. He seems to have a slight preference for this track and represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. HERCULES won well last time out under Zac Purton. He drew off with ease that day which would suggest that he has plenty more to offer. TELECOM ROCKET should have finished closer in his last outing. He overraced, raced on heels and no luck in running with a furlong to go. With a clear passage in the race he should be able to run into the money of this contest.
RACE 6
HARMONY N HOME won easier than the margin suggests last time out. He hit the front with a furlong to go and the manner in which he cruised in was really impressive. He will get all the necessary assistance in the saddle from Karis Teetan and looks difficult to oppose on paper. GREEN REIGN hasn’t been seen since his disappointing last run in May. He is much better than that effort and it is encouraging that Moreira has kept faith in the ride. XPONENTIAL had too much ground to make up last time out. If repeating his penultimate effort he should be picking off the frontrunners in the dash down to the line.
RACE 7
TASHIDELEK won well last time out under Alex Badel. He moved up with a furlong to go and quickened strongly. He finished third over this trip in his penultimate run which suggests that the step up in trip shouldn’t be too much of an issue. FLASH FAMOUS is much better than his flat latest. He failed to get cover on that occasion and if getting some in this contest then he can find a swift return to form. XIANG BAI QI didn’t have luck in running last time out but still finished steadily. He likes to do his best work up the straight and will be mowing down the frontrunners in the dash to the finishing post.
RACE 8
ALPHA HEDGE was a comfortable winner of his last start. He went from gun to tape in that outing and drew clear in the closing stages. He brings some ultra-consistent form into this race and should be competitive from his mid-field barrier position. NOT USUAL TALENT narrowly failed last time out under Chad Schoefield. He got no cover on that occasion and with better luck in running he could find himself in the winner’s enclosure should the top choice fluff his lines. INSAYSHABLE finished well up the rail last time under this rider despite racing on heels at the 400m mark. If repeating that type of effort then he can finish in the money once again.
