QUANT MASTER returns from a 13-week break, but the engaging of Anton Marcus would seem to suggest that the connections are expecting a big run from the gelding. He showed pace in his last outing over 1100M on this surface and should enjoy the drop-down to the five furlongs.
Race 4: LUNDY’S LAD (2)
Jockey: K De Melo – Trainer: D Kannemeyer
LUNDY’S LAD has finished in the top three spots in all four of his runs to date. These have been over a variety of distances, but he reverts back to the seven furlongs where he has recorded his best efforts. He starts from a handy draw and will be hoping to be rewarded for that consistency and record his maiden win here.
Race 7: TECHNO CAPTAIN (9)
Jockey: S Brown – Trainer: P Gadsby
TECHNO CAPTAIN followed up his last win with four second-place finishes in a row and will be looking to go one better here. Those seconds have come over a mile and ten furlongs, so the change to 1700M should not present an issue. The gelding deserves a change in luck.

DANCING FEATHER has solid formlines to her credit and did win her only start over the c&d. She then went on to win from start to finish in her next outing over 1750M. From her mid-field draw and her regular jockey, red-hot Warren Kennedy on board, she looks to be the one to side with here.

The Ruby Slippers form-line of 17 November over 1900M on the poly features prominently in this race and EXCESSIVE GRACE did the best in that contest. She was staying on when 1.8L in front of CRIMEA that day and as they meet on the same weight terms here, she should be able to confirm that result.

After the great start to the Hollywoodbets Sizzling Summer Challenge this past weekend, all roads lead to Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday for another night of top quality horseracing under lights.
This will also be the second race meeting in the KZN Sizzling Summer Challenge.
Warren Kennedy, our SA Championship leading jockey will be looking to extend his 15 point lead at the top of the competition log.
Kennedy took the lead on Sunday as he booted home a treble on the card to lead second-placed S’manga Khumalo by a whopping 15 points. Hollywoodbets wasted no time by shortening Kennedy in the betting market to 14/10 favourite. Anton Marcus, who was the ante-post favourite at Hollywoodbets to win the Sizzling Summer Challenge Jockey competition, endured a disappointing Sunday by his high standards but will be trying hard to cut down his 35 point deficit this Friday.
