She made an abnormal respiratory noise in her penultimate run over this c&d and did well to finish where she did. From her mid-field draw, she should be right up there in the dash down to the line.

RACE 4: KENTUCKY BLUE (2)

Jockey: L Mxothwa – Trainer: S Kotzen

KENTUCKY BLUE is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she ran on well in her last start over the c&d and gets a handy draw. That last effort was made that much more encouraging as she was coughing that day. She should give the males a good run for their money.

COYOTE CREEK is in the form of his life having rattled off a hat-trick of wins, the last two being recorded over this c&d. From his handy draw, the quartet is very much on the cards. Collen Storey who has been on top for all three of those victories retains the ride.

Race 7: BIG BAY (2)

Jockey: M v REnsburg – Trainer: G Smith

BIG BAY returns from a 15-week rest, but he is unbeaten in three starts over the c&d and will be looking to add to that record this afternoon. He is a speedy sort who will be aided by jumping from gate three. He might prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of the race.

GLORY DAYS was considered good enough to be taken up to the Highveld to contest a feature race there in her penultimate outing over seven furlongs. She raced wide that day and understandably faded in the straight. She was running on in her last outing over this c&d and from her handy draw, she should give a good account of herself here.
